Meow Cosmetics – X Collection – Mothman, Boogie Man, Snipe & Kraken

19 Oct

Pic’s are clickable.

13 unexplained shadows from Meow Cosmetics. They are good pigmented and fine milled. The whole collection is IMO so amazing, because it’s a mix of duochrome/iridescent, metallic and shimmer shades <3. I ordered all shades in sample form.

Here is a link to the swatches of the whole X Collection.

And a link to the more individually swatched shades:

Mothman

Official description: Metallic iridescent taupe with forest green undertones.

My description: Mothman has a taupe base – pretty boring, ah? Definetly not! This amazing piggie has an aqua-teal iridescence. Wooooow. It really surprised me! I didn’t expected such a strong duochrome effect :O A must have. Btw. you should watch The Mothman Prophecies movie (or at least the Trailer in the link).

Mothman refers to the legendary creature reportedly seen in the Point Pleasant area of West Virginia from November 15, 1966, to December 15, 1967. On Nov. 15, 1966,  Roger and Linda Scarberry saw a large white creature whose eyes “glowed red” when the car headlights picked it up. They described it as a “flying man with ten foot wings” following their car while they were driving. During the next few days, other people reported similar sightings, including two volunteer firemen who said it was a “large bird with red eyes”. There were no more reports after the Dec. 15, 1967 collapse of the Silver Bridge and the death of 46 people, giving rise to legends that the sightings and the bridge collapse were connected.

Boogie Man

Official description: Brilliant metallic complex green with blue and gold fire.

My description: If you love duchrome shades and gold and teal, than Boogie Man is for you! It’s a dirty green-blue shade with a strong gold iridescence ❤ Don’t let the swatches fool you, wich show just the golden iridescence! IRL the blue-green base is also good visible in some angles of looking at the shade.

A bogeyman (also spelled bogieman, boogeyman or boogieman) is an amorphous imaginary being used by adults to frighten children into behaving. The monster has no specific appearance, and conceptions about it can vary drastically from household to household within the same community; in many cases, he has no set appearance in the mind of an adult or child, but is simply a non-specific embodiment of terror. Parents may tell their children that if they misbehave, the bogeyman will get them.

Swatches on sun & in the shade:

Snipe

Official description: Duochrome plum with red iridescence.

My description: Ok.. I normaly don’t like purples. On my warm, olive skin they look terrible. But Snipe… OMFG that’s the most amazing purple that I’ve ever seen! Really! For me this little baby deserves a special place in my stash! Why such an excitement about it? It’s B R I G H T. Really bright! It’s an electric medium purple with a RED iridescence <3, and it’s bright! 😀

The Snipe comes from the folklore of the North American lumberjacks in the 19th and 20th centuries. This peculiar bird was seen by many huntsmen, engineers, cruisers and hard-rock apprentices and many of them tried to capture the Snipe but non succeeded. The Snipe is described as a blue, green and pink bird with specks of gold.

Kraken

Official description: Creepy navy blue gleaming with blue iridescent sheen.

My description: Kraken is a gorgeous medium navy blue shade with an amazing brighter blue sheen. I don’t know why, but I realy love this shade. It has such a pretty name, which tends to thinking me on stormy nights on sea where the Kraken lurks for ships that could be a potential meal 😀

Probably no legendary sea monster was as horrifying as the Kraken. According to stories this huge, many armed, creature could reach as high as the top of a sailing ship’s main mast. A kraken would attack a ship by wrapping their arms around the hull and capsizing it. The crew would drown or be eaten by the monster. What’s amazing about the kraken stories is that, of all the sea monster tales we have, we have the best evidence that this creature was based on something real.

Wow. Can you believe I’ve never tried Meow Cosmetics? I’ll have to get all four of these now! They’re amazing.

Go for it! I just figured out that the full sizes are so big, that they can be easily splited 🙂 If that’s still to expensive, the samples are a really good choice, especially because they often offer sales and/or free shipping 🙂

ok, ok, ok, Vanesa diiiiiiiihaj. Vdih. Izdih.
Pa ne spet LE? Ker tele so mi res top ❤

    ampak celo kilo izdelka.

    Se strinjam z Bibo. =)
