Baby Alja <3

Pic’s are clickable.

Today I have something baby related ūüėÄ

About one week ago, my niece Alja ‚̧¬†(spelled like Alya) was born, so I went to photograph her and¬†edited the photos a little more fancy, lol. On this photos she’s just two days old. Take a look at our little princess:

Fyrinnae – Callipygian, Tapir, Conjuror & Freya Swatches

Pic’s are clickable.

Callipygian

Official description: Vibrant Kelly/emerald green shimmer on black. Great over regular primer, but over a sticky base it’s a gleaming jeweltone metallic green. Not lip-safe. (as for the name, just look it up. We’re not really sane here)

My opinion: I know I swatched Callipygian already in the previous post, but I just wanted to try it the second time to find out if I did applied it properly or not in the first try. I didn’t liked it in the first try, but now I’m more conviced. It’s still not an easy shade to work with it, especially applied without any base or water, but at least I love it combined with Pixy Epoxy – SEE SECOND PHOTO!

IMG_2723-vert

Tapir

Official description: A lush, deep, burgundy shade with a satin finish. Slightly more purple than it appears here.

My opinion: Matte, dark mauve shade. Very onedimensional, but I loove the name, lol.

IMG_2721-horz

Conjuror

Official description: Rich burgundy-brick shade filled with shimmer that changes from aqua to bright crimson-pink, depending on proximity to light or angle.

My opinion: A good duochrome shade, that it’s not enough famous IMO! It’s a burnt umber shade with an amazing turqoise shift.

IMG_2722 - Copy-horz

Freya

Official description: Glowing warm purple shimmer on black.

My opinion: Shimmering purple on black base. Similar to discontiniued Oberon, but Freya is warmer. I love the name!

Fyrinnae – *You’re, Lorem Ipsum, Lucky Charmed, Cuddlefish, Shenanigans, Callipygian, Sorceress & Aztec Gold Swatches

*You’re – now called Scarlet Macaw

Official description: This shade is a bright shimmery warm red filled with multi-color sparkle, much like Immortality and Shenanigans

My opinion: Unfortunately I don’t like reddish shades, but the shimmer is very pretty. *You’re is a jucy, like watermelon flesh color, that contains multicolored sparkles.

3

Lorem Ipsum

Official description: Deep shimmery blue, slightly subdued and lighter than navy, enhanced with lime green sparkle. Slightly brighter than it appears here. Not lip-safe.

My opinion: Well, I was a very dissapointed to see, that Lorem Ipsum is not a duochrome shade, like Digital Ferie, but darker for example. It’s still nice for a blue lover, but for me it’s just not enough interesting.

5

6

Lucky Charmed

Official description: Lush, metallic golden green with a touch of green sparkle throughout

My opinion: Bling bling! This is definetly a shade that steals the stage. You can’t miss it, it’s so bright! Very creamy metallic gold shade with some green accents. A Fyrinnae classic.

8

9

Cuddlefish

Official description: Cuddlefish is a vibrant violet, loaded with varying hues of purple and blue-violet sparkle, and is more blue-tone than it appears here. You’ll definitely want a sticky base or sealant with this shadow. Replaces our old Neo Universe, but with even more color saturation and sparkle. For a similar shade, but more vibrant and with shimmer instead of sparkle, see Parental Advisory. Not lip-safe.

My opinion: Very bright purple, similar to Parental Advisory, plus bright purple and blue fine glitter. For me it’s even better than Parental Advisory because of the added glitter. So if you want to shine bold this is THE WINNER.

10

11

Shenanigans

Official description:¬† A¬† rainbow of sparkle fills rich, metallic gold over a dark base. This shade works well over primer, but you may find it appears best without a sticky base. Shenanigans is a replacement for Medieval Haunting: They’re nearly the same metallic finish and gold-on-black color, but this one has multi-color sparkle instead of just silver and gold.

My opinion: This is sooo complex. The description say’s it’s a replacement for Medieval Haunting, only the sparkle is multicolored, instead of silver and gold and I agree.. Anyway in the jar it looks like a “metallic soil” – it’s brown with cold accents and with million of sparkles. But applied on skin it turns more green. It’s still brown but has a greenish tinge. Very interesting, very unique! A must have.

14

13

Callipygian

Official description: Vibrant Kelly/emerald green shimmer on black. Great over regular primer, but over a sticky base it’s a gleaming jeweltone metallic green. Not lip-safe. (as for the name, just look it up. We’re not really sane here)

My opinion: Ohhh I’m so mad this is not more metallic. When looking at the jar I had high hopes for this but applied on skin it lost it’s glow. It’s not enough duochrome, because all I got applied on skin was the dark green base, but the turqoise sheen disappears. Similar to this, but less blue is Fyrinnae’s Dark Fantasy – an excellent color that really shines. But Callipygian…

17

16

Sorceress

Official description: Soft black shadow with shimmer which changes from a brilliant aqua to vibrant cool pink, depending on light and angle.

My opinion: A really interesting shade with a dark base that really shifts from turqoise, blurple to purple. Very pretty and unique.

20

19

Aztec Gold

Official description: Stunning deep metallic gold over a rich olive green base.
Originally a loose shadow from 2006, and brought back as pressed-only in November 2012. Contains no dyes.

My opinion: Woow, compaired to Lucky Charmed, Aztec Gold has more reddish tones in it and has a more satin finish than metallic. A stunner, a must have, just buy it please! Lol. Btw., you can’t buy this as a loose shadow, but you can afford it in pressed form.

I’m sorry, but¬†I’m missing two pic’s for this shade. But I think that’s not really a problem, because the missing one’s are less important.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics – Phantasm, Genesis, Moonglow, Heroic, Starcaller & Archangel Swatches

5 Aug

Pic’s are clickable.

Finnally, a post with swatches! I have some Femme Fatale¬†shades for you, that pic’s are¬†actually¬†not brand new – I searched them and lost any hope not to delete them accidentally¬†a while ago. But now I found them! So.. about the brand:¬†Femme Fatale is a great company IMO, because I’m a sucker for duochrome shades. Here we go:

From L-R:    1. Row: Phantasm, Moonglow, Starcaller.

                   2. Row: Genesis, Heroic, Archangel.

page (2)

Phantasm

Official description: At this time not available, I will add it when I can.

My opinion: Phantasm is a medium lilac shade with a copper/orange duochrome sheen, it reminds me on Meow Cosmetics – Skeptic, which is a less lilac and more blue, but the sheen is very similar.

11

Genesis

Official description: At this time not available, I will add it when I can.

My opinion: Genesis is something between a light mint and honeydew color, with a light golden duochrome sheen.

12

Moonglow

Official description: At this time not available, I will add it when I can.

My opinion: This shade is a shimmery medium cornflower with a golden/coppery duochrome sheen. Before applied on skin, it looks almost pewter in some light conditions – this must be the combination of the sheen and the base color. But on skin, you can clearly see the duochrome effect.

13

Herioc

Official description: At this time not available, I will add it when I can.

My opinion: I’m not a lover of golden shades that lean towards orange, but Heroic really is heroic. It’s like a fine polished goblet, shining in the sun in all facettes from¬†coppery gold to beautyful metallic peach. It also contains very fine milled golden glitter that look like gems in the creamy base.

14

Starcaller

Official description: At this time not available, I will add it when I can.

My opinion: This is a baby blue shade with light pink/purple duochrome sheen and some fine milled glitter. Very pretty, just like all others in this post. And what a cute name.

15

Archangel

Official description: At this time not available, I will add it when I can.

My opinion: I adore the name of this shade. I’t really is like a gentle angel with cheeks, soft like a cloud, covered all over with a silken gown¬†in the shade of a light, pastel shell color with a light lilac sheen. Angelic.

16

Overall I like all 6 shades and don’t have a favourite, because I think all six deserve a special place in my/your stash.

Wordless post – Zoom Zoom

4 Aug

Pic’s are clickable.

I know, this is meant to be a wordless post, but I must mention what this picture is about. Normally my wordless post contain shots from nature etc. but this time I captured my boyfriends car when we were fishing. A car just drow by and the dust from the road started to¬†whirl, so I just made a spontaneous shot. I LOVE cars, not technically, but I love to thinking/talk about the design. If you are similar to me, you now that Mazda just released a new Mazda 6 model that is based on the Shinari concept (this is a drop dead gorgeous concept), and/or Takeri Concept (which is still good, but not so sexy as the Shinari), the actuall model (the new Mazda 6, 2013)¬†is in my eyes still a good looking car, but just way too much far from the two f***ing sexy¬†concepts! So I’m a little dissapointed. Anyway, here’s Mazda 6, 2008:

Edit: I added two more photos, because I think this shows even better the charisma of this car ūüėÄ

New T-shirt needs new Makeup Look

13 Jul

Here’s a makeup look matching with my new T-shirt. I used only black shadow from a Sleek palette, black gel liner, mascara and NYX Round Lipstic – Eros. The image is slightly edited with a “cinema” filter, available in the PhotoScape editor.
